Daredevil: Born Again Star Teases Wild New Sides of Bullseye!

Wilson Bethel is officially returning as Bullseye, and this time, the gloves are off. In fact, filming for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 has officially wrapped. Now, the actor is opening up about why his character’s next chapter feels even more intense, more layered, and entirely unexpected.

New Depths in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2

In a recent conversation with Collider, Bethel looked back on his journey as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter. He described it as one of the most surprising and rewarding roles of his career. In Season 1, he caused chaos. From brutally killing Foggy Nelson in the premiere to using a tooth as a weapon in Episode 8, Bullseye left a lasting mark on the series. However, according to Bethel, we’ve only scratched the surface.

“We just finished shooting the second season. I get to do so much fun, insane stuff in this new season. I’m so excited for fans to see it. I hope that we have several, if not many more, years of wonderful story in store for Bullseye and the whole Daredevil crew.”

Daredevil: Born Again Unleashes Bullseye

After first debuting in Netflix’s Daredevil Season 3, Wilson Bethel made a bloody return in Born Again. Right from the very first episode, he brutally murdered Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson). The act immediately set a darker and more violent tone for the season. Moreover, from prison breaks to precision kills, Bullseye left a lethal impression. At one point, he even used a tooth as a weapon in Episode 8. Nevertheless, Season 1 only scratched the surface of what Dex is truly capable of.

According to Bethel, fans should prepare to meet an evolved and more layered version of Dex:

“The Dex of Season 2 is a new Dex that we haven’t really seen yet. There are some elements of him in this season—some sides of his personality—that we haven’t seen yet, and I’m thrilled for people to get to see it.”

The Evolution of Bullseye

Although Season 1 focused heavily on Kingpin’s (Vincent D’Onofrio) political takeover, Bullseye’s brutal arc stayed mostly in the shadows. That changed in the explosive finale, where he nearly assassinated the mayor. Now, Daredevil struggles to recover, Fisk strengthens his Anti-Vigilante Task Force, and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) makes her long-awaited return. In contrast, Season 2 looks ready to deliver the kind of chaos fans have long been craving.

Furthermore, set photos reveal Bullseye suited up in his full costume for the new season—clearly signaling that this time, Dex is fully unleashed.

Bethel’s Gratitude and Surprise Return

Although many fans never expected Wilson Bethel to reprise his role after Netflix’s Daredevil ended in 2018, the opportunity, for Bethel, felt like both a personal and professional gift.

“Getting the opportunity to return to that character, who I just absolutely adore playing, it’s just been one of the great surprising gifts of my entire career.”

What’s Ahead for Daredevil: Born Again

Now that it’s in post-production, Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is expected to hit Disney+ sometime in 2026. Meanwhile, between Dex’s full evolution, Kingpin’s growing influence, and the vigilante tension boiling over, this chapter could very well redefine the series.

For fans hoping for more Bullseye action, there’s no reason to worry—they won’t be disappointed. After all, as Bethel teases, what’s coming is far from anything we’ve seen before, and the ride has only just begun.
