Sony and Marvel Studios have released the final trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and the new footage may have revealed the movie’s biggest mystery yet. Titled “Peter’s Journey,” the trailer gives fans a new look at Peter Parker’s next adventure while teasing a mysterious threat that could be controlling several characters.
The footage also features the return of Bruce Banner and the Hulk. However, the final moments suggest that Peter Parker may soon find himself in a fight against one of the MCU’s most powerful heroes.
The Spider-Man: Brand New Day Trailer Recaps Peter Parker’s Journey
The trailer begins with a recap of Peter Parker’s story from Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home.
As the footage revisits key moments from the previous movies, Peter reads his letter to MJ. The emotional opening reminds viewers of everything he has lost since the events of No Way Home.
Afterward, the trailer shifts to new footage from Peter’s life. He appears to be working from a makeshift computer setup inside his apartment. Therefore, it seems that Peter is once again trying to balance his personal life with his responsibilities as Spider-Man.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day Teases a Strange Scorpion Mystery
One of the most intriguing moments comes during a fight between Spider-Man and Scorpion.
At one point, the villain tells Peter:
“You think I’m Scorpion?”
The strange line immediately raises questions. Why would Scorpion deny being Scorpion? More importantly, could another force be controlling him?
The moment has already fueled theories that the main villain of Spider-Man: Brand New Day may possess mind-control abilities. If that is true, Scorpion may not be acting entirely on his own.
Moreover, the trailer suggests that other characters could also be affected by the same mysterious power.
Bruce Banner Transforms Into the Hulk
The final trailer also gives fans a major surprise. Peter Parker eventually encounters Bruce Banner, played by Mark Ruffalo. However, Banner soon transforms into the Hulk. The moment becomes even more exciting when the Savage Hulk speaks. The Hulk says:
“No Banner, only Hulk.”
This marks the first time the Savage Hulk has spoken since Avengers: Infinity War. As a result, the scene could have major implications for the character’s role in the upcoming movie.
The trailer does not explain why Hulk is separated from Banner. Nevertheless, his presence creates another major mystery for the film.
William Metzger Warns Spider-Man About a Hidden Threat
Another important scene features William Metzger, played by Tramell Tillman.
Metzger warns Spider-Man about a dangerous threat. According to him, they are facing someone who:
“Could be anyone.”
He also tells Peter that Spider-Man is the “only one who can sense it.”
This detail could explain why Peter is at the center of the conflict. His spider-sense may allow him to detect something that other characters cannot. Furthermore, the warning may connect directly to the movie’s mind-control mystery. If the villain can manipulate people, then anyone around Peter could potentially be working for the enemy.
Sadie Sink’s Mystery Character Appears in New Footage
The final Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer also offers a brief look at Sadie Sink’s mysterious character. The actress appears wearing a hoodie. However, the trailer does not reveal her identity or explain her connection to Peter Parker.
Because of that, fans continue to speculate about her role in the movie. Her character could be connected to the central mystery, the Hand, or another major storyline in the film. For now, Marvel Studios is keeping her identity hidden.
Spider-Man Uses a New Weapon Against the Hulk
The trailer ends with one of its biggest surprises. Spider-Man appears to use a new weapon before punching the Hulk.
The footage does not reveal exactly what the weapon is. Still, its appearance suggests that Peter may need more than his usual web-shooters to survive the upcoming threats.
More importantly, the scene raises a major question: why are Spider-Man and Hulk fighting?
The answer could be connected to the movie’s mysterious villain. If the villain can control other people, then Hulk may also be under some kind of influence.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day Could Feature a Mind-Control Villain
Taken together, the new footage seems to hint at a much larger mystery.
Scorpion’s strange statement, Metzger’s warning, and Hulk’s unusual behavior could all be connected. Therefore, the main villain of Spider-Man: Brand New Day may have the ability to manipulate people’s minds.
If so, the villain could potentially control multiple characters throughout the movie.
That would also explain why the trailer repeatedly suggests that the threat could be hiding in plain sight. Anyone could be working for the enemy, including characters Peter believes he can trust.
Spider-Man Will Team Up With The Punisher
The movie will also feature Spider-Man teaming up with The Punisher.
Peter Parker and Frank Castle have very different approaches to fighting crime. Consequently, their partnership could create plenty of tension.
At the same time, they will face several dangerous threats. These include the Hulk, the Hand, Scorpion, and the mysterious force manipulating events behind the scenes.
As a result, Peter may face one of his most dangerous adventures yet.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will arrive in theaters on July 31, 2026.
With the final trailer introducing the Hulk, teasing a mysterious villain, and raising questions about multiple characters, the movie appears to be setting up a major new chapter for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.
