Spider-Man: Brand New Day Plot Update Reveals Major Role for Sadie Sink!

New plot details about Spider-Man: Brand New Day suggest the upcoming MCU film will feature a major storyline involving Sadie Sink and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.

According to recent reports, Spider-Man may protect Sadie Sink’s mysterious character while Damage Control pursues them. As a result, the film could explore a tense escape storyline while also setting up a larger conflict within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Jean Grey Kidnapping Plot Revealed

A new scoop from insider MyTimeToShineHello claims the Spider-Man Brand New Day story begins when Damage Control captures Jean Grey.

According to the report, the organization kidnaps the young mutant and attempts to interrogate her. However, Spider-Man eventually steps in to save her from the situation. The scooper specifically stated:

“Kidnapped by Damage Control and they torture her and Spider-Man saves her.”

After Spider-Man rescues her, the two reportedly escape together. Nevertheless, their freedom does not last long.

Soon after, a mysterious Damage Control leader played by Tramell Tillman chases them, and many viewers recognize the actor from the hit Apple TV+ series Severance.

The insider even described the character in a humorous way, saying he is:

“The guy from Severance with the moustache.”

Because of this setup, the film could feature several intense chase sequences while gradually introducing the growing tension surrounding mutants in the MCU.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day May Introduce William Metzger

Meanwhile, multiple scoopers believe Tillman is playing William Metzger, a lesser-known X-Men villain who may receive a new interpretation in the MCU. In this version, Metzger is reportedly the leader of Damage Control and a strong anti-mutant figure. Consequently, his character could represent humanity’s fear of emerging mutants.

Additionally, reports suggest that Marvel Studios has signed Tillman to a multi-picture contract. Therefore, Metzger could appear again in future MCU projects, including the planned X-Men reboot.

The reboot is expected to arrive after the Multiverse Saga concludes in 2027. Furthermore, the project is reportedly being developed by director Jake Schreier, who is also directing Thunderbolts. Because of these connections, Spider-Man: Brand New Day may serve as an early stepping stone toward the MCU’s mutant era.

While William Metzger may appear in the film, insiders suggest he will not serve as the primary villain.

Instead, the movie’s main antagonists are expected to be classic Spider-Man enemies:

  • Tombstone, played by Marvin Jones III
  • Scorpion, played by Michael Mando

Because of this combination, the film could balance two different threats. On one hand, Spider-Man must deal with dangerous criminal figures like Tombstone and Scorpion. On the other hand, he may also become involved in a much larger conflict involving mutants and government control.

This layered approach could make the story feel bigger while still maintaining Spider-Man’s grounded tone.

Peter Parker’s Journey Continues

The events of Spider-Man: Brand New Day take place after Spider-Man: No Way Home, where the world forgot Peter Parker’s identity.

As a result, Peter is now living a quiet and anonymous life without the support of his former friends. However, his encounter with Jean Grey could push him back into the spotlight once again.

Meanwhile, Tramell Tillman previously shared his excitement about entering the superhero genre. The actor said:

“I always wanted to be in that world. I used to watch DC Comics and Marvel all the time. To be a part of it is such a gift.”

The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and is scheduled to release on July 31, 2026, as part of Phase 6 of the MCU. As anticipation continues to build, fans are eager to see how Spider-Man: Brand New Day will expand the MCU’s story while possibly laying the groundwork for the long-awaited arrival of the X-Men.
