Marvel has officially revealed the first-look logos for two upcoming projects set to expand the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in 2025. Fans can look forward to two intriguing new additions: Wonder Man and Eyes of Wakanda, both coming to Disney+.
Wonder Man: A Superhero Series Premiering December 2025
Wonder Man will be a 10-episode series, set to premiere in December 2025. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II stars as the titular superhero, Simon Williams, in a story blending action, humor, and industry satire. This show, developed by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest for Disney+, fits within the broader MCU, maintaining continuity with the film universe.
Andrew Guest, known for his comedic writing, serves as the showrunner. The cast includes Ben Kingsley reprising his role as Trevor Slattery, a former actor with ties to the Mandarin. Joining the ensemble is Demetrius Grosse as Grim Reaper (Eric Williams), Simon’s brother, Ed Harris as Neal Saroyan (Simon’s agent), and Lauren Glazier in a yet-to-be-disclosed role. Directors Stella Meghie and James Ponsoldt will lend their creative talents to shape the visual storytelling.
Eyes of Wakanda: A Riveting Anthology Series
Another highly anticipated MCU project for 2025 is Eyes of Wakanda, a four-part animated anthology series. The show will explore various warriors throughout Wakanda’s history as they embark on perilous missions to recover lost vibranium artifacts from across the globe.
Developed by storyboard artist Todd Harris, the series benefits from the creative input of Ryan Coogler, acclaimed director of the Black Panther films. Eyes of Wakanda promises to offer deep insights into Wakanda’s storied past while weaving thrilling narratives about those tasked with protecting its secrets over the centuries.
A version of the superhero Iron Fist will also appear in this series, hinting at intriguing crossovers within the Marvel universe. Coogler noted, “Eyes of Wakanda does a beautiful job of representing the history of those who have kept Wakanda a secret over centuries.”
