Earlier reports revealed that writer Sabir Pirzada was developing a Nova Disney+ series. However, that version of the project was reportedly shelved before Marvel moved forward with Michael Waldron’s new movie pitch.

Will Richard Rider and Sam Alexander Appear in Nova?
Previous rumors suggested that the Nova project could introduce both Richard Rider and Sam Alexander. Moreover, reports claimed that Annihilus could appear as the main villain.
However, these details came from the earlier version of the project. Since Marvel has changed Nova from a series into a movie, the studio may introduce a different storyline.

Meanwhile, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige previously discussed Nova’s MCU debut in 2021.
Feige said:
“Timing is relative, right?”
He also added:
“I think I’d been talking about Doctor Strange eight years before that movie came out. So, ‘immediate potential’ is relative. But clearly, we are not shying away from the cosmic end of storytelling right in the sweet spot of the Nova Corps and Nova himself.”
