Marvel fans have received a significant update about Daredevil: Born Again, as the popular superhero series has reportedly been renewed for a third season even before the premiere of its second season. The news signals strong confidence from Marvel Studios as the studio continues expanding its television lineup on Disney+.
The revival series continues the story of Matt Murdock that originally captivated audiences in the Netflix era of Marvel shows. Since returning with a new chapter under Marvel’s official television banner, the show has quickly become one of the most anticipated projects in the Marvel streaming catalog.
Season 3 Production Set to Begin in Spring
Arty Froushan, who plays Buck Cashman in Daredevil: Born Again, confirmed that Season 3 production will start soon. He told The Hollywood Reporter that filming is scheduled for spring.
Froushan said,
“I’m going to be filming some of season three of Daredevil, which is the Marvel series I’ve been doing on and off. That’ll be coming up in spring.”
The statement provides one of the first clear indications that the show is already moving forward with its next chapter.
Season 2 Production Timeline
Before the upcoming third season begins filming, the second season of Daredevil: Born Again completed a lengthy production process. Filming for Season 2 started in February 2025 and wrapped in July.
The first season of the series went through a complicated production phase with creative adjustments behind the scenes. Despite those challenges, the show successfully relaunched the story of Daredevil for a new generation of viewers on Disney+.
What We Know About the Story Direction
Details about the storyline for Season 3 remain largely under wraps. However, showrunner Dario Scardapane previously hinted that future seasons of Daredevil: Born Again may move away from heavy political themes.
Instead, the series could return to a more grounded tone and focus on “street-level” storytelling, a defining element of the original Daredevil narrative.
