In the image, Tombstone holds a defeated Spider-Man high above the streets of New York. Therefore, the shot immediately raises questions about the character’s role in the upcoming movie.
The comic-inspired image also suggests that Marvel Studios could be drawing from some of Tombstone’s most memorable comic book moments. Nevertheless, the movie’s story remains largely under wraps.

Tombstone’s role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day remains unclear. However, some fans believe that Lonnie Lincoln could become the film’s primary antagonist.

Bernthal reprises his role as The Punisher in the upcoming MCU movie. Furthermore, his involvement strengthens the film’s connection to the street-level side of the Marvel Universe.
The movie already features several characters connected to the MCU’s darker crime stories. Therefore, The Punisher’s presence could become important to the wider conflict surrounding Peter Parker.
However, Marvel Studios has not yet revealed the full details of Frank Castle’s role. Consequently, fans will have to wait for more information about how The Punisher fits into Peter Parker’s next adventure.
Tom Holland Addresses Sadie Sink’s Jean Grey Rumors
Meanwhile, Tom Holland has also addressed the long-running rumors surrounding Sadie Sink’s mysterious role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
For months, reports and fan theories have claimed that Sink could play Jean Grey. However, Holland recently cast further doubt on those reports by directly addressing the possibility.
When asked about Jean Grey’s involvement in the movie, Holland said:
“[Jean Grey] is not in this movie, but it would be pretty cool.”
As a result, Holland’s comments appear to make Sink’s rumored role as the iconic X-Men character less likely. Nevertheless, Marvel Studios has not officially revealed who Sadie Sink will play.
Therefore, fans will likely continue speculating about her role until the studio provides an official announcement.
